Positive And Negative Effects Of Anabolic Steroids

Imagine you are competing for a job, but everyone else is better than you. You need to do something that is going to quickly make you better. Now imagine that job is a sport. You might think steroids are the answer to your problem, but it isn’t that easy. There are many adverse effects from steroids, such as the destruction of your organs or your physical appearance. There are many more adverse effects to using steroids than positive ones. This is why it is very risky to use them. Before using them you need to know what steroids are and what happens to your body when you take them. Anabolic-androgenic steroids, also known as anabolic steroids, are a man-made version of the male sex hormone testosterone. According to Dr. Nora Volkow, the director of the National Institute of Drug Abuse, anabolic steroids were originally created in the 1930’s to treat a disease in which testicles did not fully grow or function sexually. Steroids are used to treat illnesses, such as men wi th low levels of testosterone, young boys who are late with hitting puberty, and people who are losing muscle mass due to breast cancer, AIDs, or HIV. After a while, bodybuilders discovered that steroids could increase muscle mass, so they started taking steroids to get bigger.
